The Handmaiden

1930’s Korea, in the period of the Japanese occupation, a young woman is hired as a servant, a Japanese heiress, who lives a secluded life in a large estate of his overbearing uncle. But, the waitress has a secret: she is a pickpocket recruited by a scammer posing as a Japanese with the help of him to seduce the heir to escape with him, steal his fortune, and lock her in an insane asylum. The plan seems to be proceeding according to plan until when the woman discovered some unexpected emotions.
